Huawei Cloud Overview

Cloud is a reliable data storage platform that ensures the secure storage of your valuable data, such as images, videos, contacts, and notes. It also provides a range of data services, including automatic data backup and simultaneous updates on multiple devices. As cloud computing technology becomes more prevalent across the globe, cloud security has become increasingly critical. Huawei Cloud prioritizes providing secure cloud computing services to its customers. To achieve this, Huawei Cloud employs a set of processes and technologies designed to meet industry-standard security requirements. These processes include authentication and authorization, network security, data privacy, and compliance. Huawei Cloud's authentication and authorization processes enable users to perform secure identity verification to ensure that only authorized users have access. Different levels of authorization policies can also be defined based on your requirements. In network security, Huawei Cloud employs various technologies to protect against DDoS attacks. Moreover, technologies such as firewalls, WAF, IDS/IPS, and SSL VPNs are used to minimize the weaknesses in network security. Huawei Cloud also employs several technologies to ensure data privacy, such as AES-256 encryption, VPN, VPC, SSL/TLS, and secure storage. Lastly, Huawei Cloud is a leader in compliance and adheres to all relevant industry standards.

Huawei Cloud Features

Anytime Access: The network provides various functions that can be accessed from different devices through several unified mechanisms. Self-Service: Consumers can deploy resources unilaterally without interacting with cloud service providers. Resource Sharing: Resource pooling: Physical resources are decoupled from logical resources through virtualization to implement resource pooling of computing, storage, and network resources. From the perspective of users, they only need to care about the services they require, as they do not need to worry about the device model, internal structure, implementation method, and geographical location. From the perspective of resource managers, the resource pool with the greatest benefits can be added, deleted, and replaced. Additionally, resource management and scheduling become more convenient. Elastic Scaling: Resource pool resources are much larger than those required by a single user or customer. Therefore, they appear to be infinite. Once again, these resources can be rapidly deployed and released, sometimes automated, for scaling up and downsizing. Service Measurable: Provides measurable capabilities for abstract use of resources. Four Deployment Modes of Cloud Computing:

  • Private Cloud: Cloud resources can be used only by users in one organization, which is the core feature of the private cloud. Ownership, schedule management, and operation of the cloud may be the company, a third-party organization, or a combination of the two. The cloud may be located within the organization or hosted elsewhere.
  • Community Cloud: Cloud resources are dedicated to users in several fixed units, which have the same requirements on the cloud (such as security requirements, cloud mission, rules, and compliance requirements). Ownership and routine management of the cloud may be one or more units in the community, a third party outside the community, or a combination of the two. The cloud may be deployed locally or elsewhere.
  • Public Cloud: Develop cloud resources for public use. Ownership, day-to-day management, and operation of the cloud can be a business organization, academic institution, government department, or a combination of them. The cloud may be deployed locally or in other places.
  • Hybrid Cloud: A hybrid cloud consists of two or more different types of clouds (private, community, and public) that are independent but combined with standard or proprietary technologies that enable smooth data and application flow between clouds. A hybrid cloud consists of multiple clouds of the same type. The hybrid cloud consisting of private and public clouds is the most popular one. Three Service Modes of Cloud Computing:
  • Software as a Service (SaaS): Cloud service providers lease the application software layer of the IT system as a service. Consumers can directly use the application software without installing the application software themselves, which further lowers the technical threshold for cloud service consumers.
  • Platform as a Service (PaaS): Cloud service providers lease the platform software layer of the IT system as a service. Consumers develop or install programs and run programs.
  • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS): Cloud service providers lease the infrastructure layer of the IT system as a service, and consumers install operating systems, middleware, databases, and applications themselves.
